Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory and stock pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and pharmacy safety protocols
- Assist in compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain current knowledge
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- No prior pharmacy experience required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency
- Valid North Carolina Pharmacy Technician permit (obtainable after training)
- Commitment to completing certification within 6 months
