Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients with accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify prescription information, including drug interactions and allergies, under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Operate pharmacy computer systems to process insurance claims and generate labels.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment.
- Monitor expiration dates and ensure proper disposal of controlled substances.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to obtain certification.
- Current and valid California Pharmacy Technician License.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and compounding.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail.
