Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and minimal discomfort.
- Prepare and label blood samples according to strict laboratory protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain and sterilize all provided phlebotomy equipment to ensure patient safety.
- Verify patient information and accurately document collection data into electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist with patient orientation, answering questions, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA) required.
- Active and in-good-standing state license or registration as a Phlebotomist.
- Previous experience in a clinical or laboratory setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and infection control procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
