Responsibilities
- Expert Blood Collection: Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with precision, ensuring patient comfort and minimal discomfort.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment for all sampling procedures.
- Patient Interaction: Explain procedures clearly to patients, answer questions, and alleviate anxiety to ensure a positive experience.
- Data Integrity: Accurately label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on phlebotomy equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or state licensure required.
- CPR: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
