Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection procedures
- Ensure accurate patient identification and sample labeling
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Process specimens and prepare for laboratory analysis
- Document procedures using electronic health records systems
- Provide patient education during blood collection processes
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient flow
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Excellent venipuncture and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems
- Pennsylvania phlebotomy license (if required)
