Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone/telehealth patient assessments using clinical judgment protocols
- Prioritize patient cases using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) and established triage algorithms
- Provide evidence-based medical advice and disposition recommendations
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists for complex case management
- Document all interactions in Epic EMR with 100% accuracy
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and data security protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana (compact license accepted)
- 3+ years clinical experience in ER, urgent care, or telehealth
- BLS/ACLS certification required (PALS preferred)
- Proficient in ESI triage methodology and emergency protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse populations
- Experience with Epic EMR or similar telehealth platforms
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Spanish fluency a plus (not required)
