Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and processing
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Provide exceptional patient care with empathy during blood draws
- Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with clinical teams for seamless patient workflow
Qualifications
- Active Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, AMT, or NCCT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy
