Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens according to laboratory protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation systems
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Provide patient education and emotional support during procedures
- Collaborate with clinical team to optimize workflow efficiency
- Perform equipment calibration and quality control checks
Qualifications
- Active California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification from AHA
- Proficiency in LIS data entry and specimen tracking
- Excellent venipuncture skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced healthcare settings
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
