Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients with accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure proper billing and processing.
- Assist the supervising pharmacist in processing new prescriptions and refill requests.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, counting, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment compliant with safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phone inquiries and resolving concerns.
- Operate pharmacy software systems to update patient records and track inventory.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent basic math skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs comfortably.
- Willingness to obtain Pharmacy Technician certification within a set timeframe (training provided).
- Valid Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
- A friendly, professional demeanor and a strong desire to learn.
