Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following strict protocols
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory with accuracy
- Maintain sterile environments and proper documentation
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood collection procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot phlebotomy equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Valid Texas CPT certification (if applicable)
- Strong venipuncture skills with diverse patient populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Basic computer proficiency and EMR experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Background check and drug screen required
