Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection following strict safety protocols
- Process, label, and transport specimens to laboratory with zero-error accuracy
- Verify patient identification and maintain detailed electronic records
- Prepare patients for procedures while providing clear instructions and reassurance
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies inventory
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient flow and experience
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification required
