Responsibilities
- Prep and Prepares: Set up operating rooms with sterile instruments, drapes, and equipment before procedures begin.
- Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and holding retractors efficiently.
- Sterilization: Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock surgical supplies to ensure efficient workflow and minimize waste.
- Patient Support: Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide support to patients as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of perioperative experience preferred.
- Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
