Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient populations
- Process and transport specimens ensuring chain of integrity
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records
- Adhere to OSHA and CLIA compliance protocols
- Collaborate with lab teams for efficient workflow
- Provide patient education during specimen collection
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
Qualifications
- Current Alaska Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1-year clinical experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in specimen handling and processing
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Attention to detail and precision in specimen collection
- Valid Alaska driver's license if required for travel
