Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections for diagnostic testing
- Process and transport specimens while maintaining chain of custody protocols
- Verify patient identity and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- Maintain sterile equipment and adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with lab staff and healthcare providers for seamless workflow
- Document all procedures using our EMR system with precision
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in specimen processing protocols
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must pass background check and drug screening
