Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Verify prescription details, check for drug interactions, and accurately prepare and dispense medications to patients.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, receive and organize pharmaceutical supplies, and manage inventory using our enterprise software.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with medication questions, explain dosage instructions, and process insurance claims efficiently.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy laws to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
- Quality Assurance: Perform routine inspections of the pharmacy area to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Licensure: Valid state license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in Washington.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using pharmacy management systems (e.g., McKesson, Cerner, Epic).
