Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process, label, and transport specimens to laboratory with strict chain-of-custody protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems like Epic or Cerner
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Train new staff on phlebotomy techniques and safety procedures
- Collaborate with nurses and lab technicians for seamless patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent credential
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Proficiency in specimen handling and processing protocols
