Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision
- Process and transport specimens while maintaining chain of custody
- Ensure accurate patient identification and sample labeling
- Maintain sterile work environments and infection control protocols
- Provide compassionate patient care during specimen collection
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with lab teams to resolve collection issues
Qualifications
- Active Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or AMT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Excellent venipuncture skills with pediatric and geriatric populations
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA compliance standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid CPR certification
- Flexible schedule availability including weekends
