Responsibilities
- Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques
- Process and label specimens according to laboratory standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Perform quality control checks on equipment
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for specimen collection
- Train new phlebotomy staff on best practices
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in venipuncture and microcollection techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid Arizona driver's license
