Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Verify patient identities and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Ensure proper specimen handling, storage, and transportation
- Provide patient education on blood draw procedures
- Maintain sterile equipment and clean examination areas
- Collaborate with lab staff and healthcare providers for seamless care
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in venipuncture
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in LIS/HIS systems and specimen processing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
- Must pass background check and drug screening
