Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Provide accurate medical advice and education to patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Handle emergency situations following established protocols
- Support patient flow management in the emergency department
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Part-time availability including evenings and weekends
