Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label biological specimens according to HIPAA and CLIA standards
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation systems
- Ensure proper handling and transportation of laboratory specimens
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient flow and testing efficiency
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current Alaska Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong venipuncture skills with pediatric and geriatric populations
- Proficiency in LIS/HIS systems and specimen processing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR certification
