Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens following strict HIPAA and OSHA protocols
- Verify patient identity and medical history documentation
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and inventory logs
- Collaborate with remote lab teams for specimen processing and analysis
- Train and mentor new phlebotomy staff on best practices
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or AMT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency in blood collection techniques and specimen handling
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with diverse patient populations
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams
- CPR/BLS certification
- Flexibility to accommodate hybrid work schedule
