Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections across diverse patient demographics
- Process and label specimens following strict HIPAA compliance protocols
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control procedures
- Utilize LIS systems for specimen tracking and order processing
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with laboratory and clinical teams for seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Phlebotomy Technician certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in venipuncture and pediatric collections
- Strong attention to detail and specimen handling protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
