Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and transport specimens to lab with proper documentation
- Verify patient identity and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Calibrate equipment and maintain sterile work environments
- Provide patient education during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team on specimen handling
- Adhere to OSHA and CLIA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings
- Valid Ohio driver's license for specimen transport
