Responsibilities
- Collect blood specimens from patients using various venipuncture techniques.
- Label, process, and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
- Educate patients on the blood collection process to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Verify patient information and ensure accuracy of documentation.
- Manage inventory of supplies and order reagents as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
