Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections across diverse patient demographics
- Ensure specimen integrity through proper labeling, handling, and processing protocols
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume collection scenarios
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including centrifuges and analyzers
- Accurately document all procedures using our EMR system
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient flow and experience
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced setting
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen processing
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse patient interactions
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Experience with LIS/EMR systems preferred
