Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following strict safety protocols
- Process, label, and transport specimens accurately to the laboratory
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
- Calibrate and troubleshoot phlebotomy equipment
- Train new staff on blood collection techniques
- Collaborate with nurses and lab staff to ensure seamless patient workflow
- Document procedures and maintain electronic health records
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings
- Pass background check and drug screening
