Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections using provided equipment
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Verify patient identification and prepare samples for lab testing
- Operate provided centrifuges and specimen handling equipment
- Document procedures using our electronic health record system
- Collaborate with healthcare team on patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or NCCT)
- 1+ years clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with provided digital specimen tracking systems
- Ability to handle multiple specimens simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
- Excellent patient communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
