Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws using provided equipment
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile environments and dispose of biohazard materials per OSHA standards
- Verify patient identity and prepare samples for transport
- Document procedures in EMR systems with precision
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Texas Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently with provided equipment (vacutainers, tourniquets, etc.)
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
