Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Provide accurate triage assessments using standardized protocols and clinical judgment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document patient encounters thoroughly in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- BSN degree preferred
