Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using provided equipment
- Process and label specimens accurately following HIPAA protocols
- Verify patient identities and prepare blood samples for testing
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Document procedures using our digital health records system
- Collaborate with lab teams to ensure timely sample processing
- Train on new equipment and protocols as provided
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- 1+ years clinical blood collection experience
- KY state phlebotomy license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work independently with provided equipment
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Valid CPR certification
