Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection following strict protocols
- Ensure accurate patient identification and sample labeling
- Maintain sterile equipment and dispose of biohazard materials properly
- Process specimens and prepare for laboratory analysis
- Document procedures and patient information in EHR systems
- Provide patient education and emotional support during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient flow
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass background check and drug screening
