Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal discomfort
- Process and label specimens according to CLIA and HIPAA standards
- Maintain sterile work environments and equipment hygiene protocols
- Provide exceptional patient education during blood collection procedures
- Utilize provided equipment including digital analyzers and automated centrifuges
- Document patient interactions and specimen data in EMR systems
- Collaborate with lab technicians for urgent specimen processing
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical blood collection experience
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen certification
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Ability to operate provided diagnostic equipment with minimal training
- Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation
- Pass background check and drug screening
