Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Process and label specimens according to strict protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure proper equipment sterilization and inventory management
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient flow
- Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with all age groups
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
