Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures with precision
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure proper handling and transportation of lab specimens
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with lab staff for efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Texas Phlebotomy Technician license
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Excellent venipuncture skills with all patient demographics
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
