Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and clinical areas for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatments (four-handed dentistry)
- Take dental radiographs and maintain accurate patient records
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
- Coordinate with front desk for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Active DANB certification or accredited dental assisting program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and imaging software
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient education and comfort
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical settings
- Attention to detail with HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Valid Arizona dental assistant license
