Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort using state-of-the-art equipment.
- Prepare and process specimens accurately according to strict laboratory protocols and safety standards.
- Educate patients about the procedure, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, strictly adhering to HIPAA and OSHA compliance regulations.
- Verify patient identification and enter data into electronic health records (EHR) with 100% accuracy.
- Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP, CPT, or equivalent) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks requiring dexterity.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
