Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and handle specimens according to CLIA and HIPAA standards
- Operate automated laboratory equipment and maintain accurate documentation
- Provide exceptional patient care while explaining procedures clearly
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure efficient specimen workflow
- Implement strict infection control protocols and safety measures
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and compliance audits
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT) required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Proven expertise in pediatric and geriatric blood draws
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and specimen handling
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure with attention to detail
- Background check and drug screening required
