Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone/telehealth to determine urgency
- Provide clinical guidance and health education to callers
- Coordinate care between patients, providers, and ancillary services
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Collaborate with emergency departments for critical cases
- Adhere to protocols and regulatory compliance standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or triage experience
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
- Flexibility to cover evening/weekend shifts as needed
