Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens accurately per lab protocols
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood draws
- Operate automated blood collection equipment
- Document procedures using electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Must pass background check and drug screening
