Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture, capillary draws, and microcollection procedures
- Label and process specimens following strict laboratory protocols
- Verify patient identification and maintain confidential medical records
- Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT, NCPT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques and specimen processing
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
