Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws with precision and patient comfort in mind.
- Label, log, and prepare blood specimens for laboratory analysis according to strict protocols.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety and infection control standards at all times.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as required.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nurses, and physicians to ensure seamless care.
- Assist with other clinical duties as needed to support the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
