Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection following strict protocols
- Ensure accurate patient identification and proper labeling of all specimens
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory efficiently
- Provide patient education and emotional support during procedures
- Document all procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nursing staff and lab personnel for seamless care
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal vein trauma
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Compassionate communication with diverse patient populations
- Pass background check and drug screening
