Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and lab protocols
- Verify patient identity and maintain accurate electronic records
- Operate centrifuges and point-of-care testing equipment
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparations
- Collaborate with nursing staff for seamless patient flow
- Maintain sterile work environments and supply inventory
Qualifications
- Active NJ Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Expertise in venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings
- Attention to detail with zero-error documentation
- Pass background check and drug screening
