Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following strict safety protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile equipment and clean workstations per OSHA guidelines
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood collection procedures
- Document patient information and specimen data in our EMR system
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior phlebotomy experience necessary - we train!
- Current CPR certification (will be provided if needed)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Excellent communication skills and compassion for diverse patients
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid California driver's license preferred
