Responsibilities
- Specimen Collection: Perform venipunctures and capillary draws accurately and efficiently.
- Patient Interaction: Comfort and reassure patients during the blood collection process.
- Data Entry: Verify patient identity and accurately record blood test orders.
- Sample Handling: Label, store, and transport specimens to the laboratory while adhering to chain-of-custody protocols.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict hygiene standards and sterilization procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Training: Completion of a certified Phlebotomy program is a plus, but we provide the training if you are willing to learn.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
