- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages.
- Verify patient identity and explain procedures to ensure comfort and compliance.
- Label, process, and transport blood samples to the laboratory efficiently.
- Adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols, including OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and lab technicians to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor's degree preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong desire to learn and work in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for mobile duties, if applicable).
