Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and care.
- Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling and handling of all biological specimens.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
- Assist with patient intake, vitals monitoring, and basic medical procedures.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure optimal patient care and specimen integrity.
- Handle incoming specimens with proper chain-of-custody protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Willingness to participate in our paid training program to gain certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
