Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with high accuracy and minimal patient discomfort.
- Greet patients, verify identities, and explain procedures to ensure a positive experience.
- Label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory promptly and correctly.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines regarding infection control.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Manage patient records and ensure data entry is accurate and up-to-date.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification (ASCP, NHA, etc.) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
- Must be detail-oriented and capable of maintaining a sterile environment.
