Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens following strict laboratory protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic documentation
- Verify patient identification and test requisitions
- Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Collaborate with remote team members for scheduling and inventory management
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- 1+ years of clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in remote settings
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Colorado state phlebotomy license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
